We had a charter out on Cindy Lou on Sat the 11th and Mon the 13th -- both days we ran into Bluefish right @ the entrance to the Manasquan Inlet just at the tip of the North Jetty -- we hooked up quite a few and then we moved on out to Sea Girt Reef. Out on the Reef we boated quite a few short Fluke but a bunch of Keeper Sea Bass--Ling -- Sea Robins -- Sand sharks and a few Skates. We went out to Axel Carlson\'s Reef -- the same thing - short Fluke -- Sea Bass and the rest. We made the mistake of stopping at the Manasquan Bell on the way in to se what was there -- 11 people fishing and everyone ended up with 2 or more big skates. We finished the day in the Manasquan river with more short Fluke - but a couple of 18 inchers. Friday the 17th had a party aboard the Cindy Lou and we fished sandworms and clams in the Metedeconk River off of Dale\'s Basin @ the mouth of the Pt.Pleasant Canal and then on the north side of the Mantooking Bridge. the water was clear and 53 degrees-- the wind was stiff over an incoming tide. We went home with some FAT 14 inch winter flounder. we wil be on them for the rest of the season -- also the middle of next month the Bluefish hit the Metedeconk River & they always give us a good day fishing.
