Alabama Freshwater Reports, Detailed Fishing Reports

Please enjoy our fishing reports and please post your own report for your state or region. Doesn't matter where you live or what region you fish as we try to display fishing reports for all types and styles of fishing. Fly fishing, surf fishing, wade fishing, to fishing 100 miles offshore in the Gulf Stream off the mid-atlantic coast are just some of the types of fishing reports we display. And that was just the saltwater fishing which is far outnumbered by all the types of freshwater fishing reports we see. We get freshwater reports for bass fishing in Mississippi to mountain stream fishing for trout in Colorado to Salmon fishing in the Great Lakes. Speaking of the Great Lakes, Michigan seems to be very popular for charter boat Captains and their fishing reports.

Some anglers just like to read certain fishing reports from exotic locales and dream about the day they will be able to take a fishing trip to whatever fishing paradise they are thinking about. For instance we have Key West fishing reports that tell us about extreme light tackle fishing and the excitiment of fighting a 100 pound tarpon in 3 feet of water while he sometimes walks on water during his effort to escape the pull of the angler and his rod n reel. Key West provides plenty of fishing action but for some it is not a likely destination so they read the reports and dream about a Key West fishing trip. Who knows? In time maybe those anglers that dream about fishing in a far off paradise will get their wish eventually and instead of their own Alabama Freshwater Reports they will write a report about their tropical island fishing vacation.

Fishing Report:

Took a lil minication this week an of course missed a trip or 2, kid\'s had an invite to tour Ms State University. Did that an spent day or so with mom in Grenada, an swung through ol pops in Neshoba Co.
Went boating on lil\' WHIPA today and set out the crab pots, been tasting some good ol\'boiled crabs. Decided while I was out to take a couple of fish weapons with me and the brill net. After putting out crab pots, went over and found one factory working and with one throw the net started swimming off with the pogey\'s (oh yea). So off to do lil fishing, wanted to fish some new spots, went to old reef by mouth of Fort Bayou.
As I approached the reef I could smell fish and could see several boils on top. Throwed the anchor and it was on, as soon as the pogey hit the water BAM! For about 2 hours I sat there and reeled in fish as fast as humanly possible; specks, white trout, and some drag ripping gafftops. Most of the specks were 12 1/2 to 13 1/2 in. Just kept a few and left them biting.
On way back, decided to stop try one more lil spot. Old discharge pier close to ramp and soon as my free lined pogey got up next to the pier BAM! Red fish, caught three, one was tagged and was the only one to make the 18in cut the other two were just a lil under size, but a blast on the light spin weapon.
Boy, tell ya they keep this oil shut down might open up lil bit more water. But if not man the Bay is alive and well! We did reel well in Bay last year especially Aug. and Sept. Sure would love to get in a snapper trip!!!!!!!!
Come on down South Mississippi and step aboard the WHIPASNPAPA! That\'s all you have to do.
Ready to fish; tired of fighting with those people that SAY they gone make it right; bs from the bp; so if you need a cut especially for the kids, call us an LETS GO GET UM!!!!!!!!!! That\\\'s what we do best::::::::::
